born a failing construct - sterilized to numb the pain, a sip of tragedy - all these years I lived in vain. nothing here to hold me. nothing left worth fighting for. here I sit and rot in my misery. I soared from the darkness, from inward suffering. I couldn't shake it off, now I'm back in my own hell. and so it rains from these dying skies. Beneath the heavens all is veiled in toxic gas. and at this moment I embraced extinction at the dawn of this endless night. forced to live and breathe within alien ideas. children of imperfection fulfilling expectations. dead and gone, so trivial and swappable. I am a living failure - a statement of regress. and while I fight and struggle to maintain integrity I have become detached from your dying world. In the eye of terror - gazing into your void, all that once mattered - dismantled and destroyed. and so I sink into insignificance while I wait in silence for the end of days.
